Bob Lamar has served as Lead Class Counsel in numerous national class actions including representing virtually all of the cities and counties in Gerorgia against the on-line travel companies (ex. Expedia, Hotels.com, et. al.) to recover tens of millions of dollars of unpaid hotel/motel taxes. City of Rome v. Hotels, com, LP (N.D. Ga. 2006). Other class actions have been successfully certified and consummated against Toshiba America, Inc. and a Prudential coal securities offering.
Current cases include representation in the Texas Supreme Court of the second largest trailer leasing company in the country against its major competitor’s efforts to access proprietary information of the company. In the Southern District of Georgia, the Firm recently obtained preliminary injunctive relief and an ultimate seven-figure settlement in favor of its client against a business co-owner who had converted corporate assets to his personal use.
